Ekweremadu’s Campaign Organization Condemn Attack, Harassment On Its Supporters during the party's Congress

Ikeoha Campaign Organization has raised alarm over importunity and intimidation melted on his sympathizers during the last People's Democratic Party (PDP) Ward Congress in Enugu. 

 

 Addressing a press conference in Enugu on Friday, the Director General of Ikeoha Campaign Organization, Hon Charles Ogbo Asogwa said the importunity is in the shot to blackjack and stop the gubernatorial ambition of Former Senate Deputy President, Senator Ike Ekweremadu. 

He recalled “ we had formerly raised alarm over the rising political dogmatism and highhandedness on our sympathizers indeed before the Ward Congress and In particular we also called the attention of the nation to the appointment of known deadly goons and zealots into state and original government services each in the shot to blackjack and stop Distinguished Senator Ike Ekweremadu,” 

 

Showing the footage of the attack to Intelligencers on the screen, Hon Asogwa expressed solicitude that despite reporting the former incident, the trend took yet another dangerous dimension during the 30th April 2022 Ward Congress when our sympathizers were severely attacked again as they shot sporadically causing rush in the area,” he said 

“ The primary purpose of government is the security of the lives and property of the people. It thus beats the imagination that all these political violence have continued unabated. 

 

 “ Recall that our star and number one gubernatorial applicant in the 2013 guardianship race, Senator Ike Ekweremadu has severally called on the public and state leadership of the PDP to insure a free show, transparent and thus believable process so that the whoever emerges PDP’s flag deliverer for any of the political office will be embraced by all,” he said 

He thereby called on the security agencies to arrest and make all perpetrators of violence in Enugu state. 

 

 “ We also call on all suckers of peace and republic to join hands to convert the authorities to take the necessary and decisive way to arrest this growing culture of political violence, cultism and banditry to insure a peaceful primary and 2023 general election in Enugu state,” he said
